My brother was given a Seeburg Selectophone juke box. It is not too
bad the side veneer is peeling and it needs general refinish, but it
looks pretty good.

Missing is the coin slide. Looks like it might have been swapped out
since there is more screw holes. The mech looks complete and just in
need of some clean and lube. We have not powered up the motor yet.

I have the amp apart and someone did the power supply caps. probably
in the 1970's. The cardboard caps are dry and done (yea I checked
them for the heck of it).

I am sure it needs the rectifier tube. Was kind of expecting an 80
but found a later 4 pin number in the place. The tube is open and
cloudy inside.

Found one needle inside and the U magnet is still in the box.

Locks are all missing.

Poked around the net and did not find any schematics or really much of
anything. Still need to look up what might be available in parts at
some sites.

We are looking to get it up and working to keep. It would look nice
in a front room once we do the cabinet. So if anyone can give me some
pointers I would appreciate it.

Thanks,

BTW, I used to do board level late model pin work and have a 53
Seeburg W. I have rebuilt a few tube amps for friends too so I a bit
of a clue.

Greetings! I don't know if you are still active at this site, but thought I'd reply just in case. I may have a schematic for your Selectophone. They made numerous variations on this machine, so if you could send me the model number on the amplifier, I could look it up and see if I have the schematic. Also, you describe the rectifier as being a later tube, so it is possible the amplifier has been replaced with a later one, or maybe just the rectifier was upgraded. I'm a jukebox collector, and have a lot of stuff I've picked up over the years. The Selectophone is one of my favorite Seeburg machines and it's always nice to see one working as they are difficult to get working to begin with. ***@aol.com Cheers, Russie

Congrats! I worked on mine about 10 years ago. I do not have a schematic for the amp handy, though I must have at one time...guess I better look for it. If I am able to answer any specific questions about the machine, I will. Good luck on your restoration!
