I have a Seeburg SMC1 juke box in mint condition. What's it worth?

It's a 70s era box in which the trend was to hide the record selecting
and playing mechanism from public view. Sheesh, half the fun of putting
a coin in late '40s, '50s and some '60s era boxes was watching that
happen right in front of you because your phono at home didn't do that.
IOW it's the experience of operating the appliance and not just
listening to a record.

IMHO it's those boxes from the pre-1970s era that demand the higher
prices (is a mint condition Wurlitzer 1015 bubbler still the most
desirable?) I wouldn't bid on your box even if it's mint. Sincerely,

The other side of the equation on value is the 70s Seeburgs sounded
fabulous when set up correctly and a well looked after amplifier. Those
two horn speakers really gave great separation and 12" woofers in their
tuned cavities only added to the ambience.

Yes you could not see the mech (boo!) but the sound is worth it to a lot
of people and the 70s look is not dead and gone as a lot of people like it.

We sell similar machines here in Canada for around $1995CAD or roughly
$1500USD with 6 month warranty. Private sellers typically get 1/2 to
3/4 of that is the machine is working well and is stocked with records.
